Scouting Troops an Important Part of our Church

The Boy Scouts began in 1907 in Great Britain and was officially formed in the United States in 1910. From the earliest beginnings the Methodists, now United Methodists, have been among its strongest supporters. The scout law states that "A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, reverent." The scout motto is: "Be prepared." The scout slogan is: "Do a good turn daily." Our church is proud of our troops, Boy and Girl and Cub and pray for God's blessings upon its leaders and members.

For over 100 years the Boy Scouts of America have provided guidance and mentorship for young men, helping them get started in life on the right step. Many thanks to the all the people who help make it possible.
